Personal Bio:
Dr. Colleen Kerrigan is a board-certified breast surgical oncologist who completed a society of surgical oncology accredited breast surgery fellowship at the University of Toronto. Dr. Kerrigan joins us from the internationally recognized Princess Margaret Cancer Centre where she previously worked as a breast surgical oncologist. She received her medical degree and completed her general surgery residency at the University of Vermont and has always had a deep commitment to women’s health and patient-centered cancer care. Dr. Kerrigan’s clinical practice is devoted to the comprehensive management of breast disease, with particular interest in oncoplastic breast surgery and approaches that optimize both oncologic outcomes and quality of life. She is dedicated to partnering with patients through every step of their treatment journey and is excited to bring her expertise to her new community in New Mexico. Dr. Kerrigan joined the practice to help expand access to high-quality breast cancer care across New Mexico with a goal of strong collaboration with surgeons and clinicians throughout the region.  Dr. Kerrigan is a breast surgery specialist who works closely with breast imagers and oncology partners statewide, which means our practice provides patients with truly comprehensive care from diagnosis through surgery, medical and radiation oncology, genetics, and clinical trials. Dr. Kerrigan's practice is designed for timely, patient-centered access, including same-day urgent visits when needed and rapid response to clinical concerns to help patients avoid unnecessary emergency department visits. When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Kerrigan enjoys New Mexico by mountain biking, exploring and spending time with her husband and dog.
